2017 – The Year to Really Consider a Contracting Career!

  • Contracting info
  • Budget

There is no arguing that daily rate contracting can offer the opportunity to earn good money, but from January 2017, Contractors can expect to see an additional increase in their take home pay as a result of the increased ‘earned tax credit’ as announced in the budget last year. In addition to the increase in the earned tax credit, the slight changes in USC will also impact on Contractors take home pay. Professionals who are relocating to take up Contract work, should be also be aware of the ability to offset relocation costs as a business expense. Typically this includes travel costs, removal costs, alongside offsetting accommodation costs for the first 3 months of the contract.
